Busy Summer

We've been going non-stop so far this summer. I've been putting in overtime at work trying to get my stuff done on time. Heidi's off all summer, but she's been getting a lot done. We've been doing as much as we can now though, since this is most of the time off she gets.

Two weekends ago, we went to Chicago to see the Tut exhibit. I wouldn’t quite call it a relaxing trip, given our itinerary and the perils of Chicago traffic, but we had a lot of fun. The pictures are up in the gallery. Heidi spent a few days at Fife Lake with her family last week. We also spent a night at the Kent cottage this past weekend.

Chase and I went to a very fun blues bar called Blue Chicago. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago. It's not as touristy as many of the places you will find in Chicago. There are actually two Blue Chicagos on the same street. The cover charge at one gets you in to both. They have live blues every night at both bars. We saw the Shirley Johnson Blues Band which was excellent. For more information, go to www.bluechicago.com. We also went to Millenium Park and Navy Pier. We were also able to visit Gonzo on his birthday and go to the Cheesecake Factory with Andrew right before we left. It was a good trip but we are glad to be home and back to our slower pace.

Who's Gonzo?

Gonzo's my college roommate. He's the second from the right below:
